Prof Dali Magazi
Convenor
Prof Dali Magazi is the HOD at Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University. He is the convener of the present conference (NASA 2026). His educational background is: MBBCh (Wits); MMED (Neuro)UP; FCP (Neuro)SA; PhD (SMU); FRCP (London). He is a recipient of numerous best lecturer awards and has to date, trained over 20 neurologists. He sits in various committees including the South African Civil Aviation’s Authority (SACAA).
Dr Pogishe Treasure Makgoga
Dr Treasure Makgoga is a specialist neurologist with experience in a broad range of neurological conditions, including but not limited to multiple sclerosis, stroke, epilepsy, neuromuscular, and nerve disorders. He has a particular interest in autoimmune neurological diseases. He graduated from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa (CMSA) in 2023 and continued in the academic department as a consultant, gaining further experience while working on his dissertation on TB meningitis at Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University (SMU). Dr Makgoga is passionate about teaching and enjoys sharing his knowledge of Neurology with both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Dr Maropene Maloma
Dr. Maropene Immaculate Maloma (MBChB, MMed, FC Neurol SA) is a Pretoria-based Neurologist practicing in both the private and public sectors. Originally trained as a physiotherapist, Dr. Maloma’s unique background informs her holistic approach to treating conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, and movement disorders. She is dedicated to empowering her community through expert clinical evaluation and a mission to improve neurological health outcomes across South Africa.
Dr Goitsemang Mantshiu
Dr Winniefred Goitsemang Mantshiu (MBCHB, FC Neurol (SA), MMed ) is a neurologist based in Gauteng and has a keen interest in studying, diagnosing and treating neuromuscular junction disorders. Her dissertation in Myasthenia gravis adds to the continuously evolving body of knowledge and expertise in the field. She also treats other neurological conditions like Headaches, Epilepsy, neuropathies and movement disorders and is passionate about improving the quality of life of her patients through appropriate clinical assessment and treatment in both the public and private sectors.
